Absinthe Pillow

It's cute and functional - well functional as far as pillows function!

C C what begins with C?

Anyone remember that kids book? Big C, Little C, what begins with C? I have happily discovered that most of my favorite things begin with C. Cashmere, Cognac, Cigars, Children (mine anyway), Christ, Christmas, Candy, Chinchillas (okay that's a stretch), Chili Peppers, Cake, Coq au vin, Cabernet, Cute Chefs (yes that would be Anthony and Alton!) I will have to continue this theme - oh and I made an Absinthe Pillow!

Totally copying Joe

Okay - So I am going to copy someone I know who has a blog here as well and has committed to typing for at least 10 minutes everyday. Okay yes I know I also committed a while back to knit everyday and that has fallen sadly asunder! BUT I am really really going to do this!

So at the very least I've been sewing. Now if I could just be selling it - all would be right with my universe!

This tote is called Absinthe Binge - now I am working on outside cushions similar to this idea. Rock on!

Virgin.............ia

Wow that seems so freaking significant I really don't actually know what to say - okay a moment of silence................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................alright. Here we are. family of 5 - 3 kids - my natural kids - 2 dogs - 1 new husband (still wet behind the ears) 2 lizards (love those little things) and me - messed up and jaded but alive and really really creative. This state (VA) is like WI in many ways and not in many ways. Example - no liquor stores here just a state run deal that is creepy in the 1984 sort of way. But vibe is laid back in the WI up north sort of way. Just a culture shock for those who have only lived where whites were the majority. I like Hispanic's as a general rule so that stands here - I hope they don't prove me wrong. We're out numbered here. but hey - habla espanol. un poco. te amo! LOL!
