The flood and listening

Listening to God is a good thingThere are times when God speaks to me and since it's that still small voice I hear I often either ignore or blow it off entirely since it usually involves something I really don't feel like doing. And that's when I get bit in the ass very often. This time I listened and AM I GLAD (though I am always glad I do - I just don't always get to see so fast) Tim and pops decided that enough was enough and that the porch needed a new roof. Okay I decided and that it was like 3 years past due - but hey it's my story. So they get three layers ripped off and then the monsoon that was supposed to miss us hits and the porch is completely pouring in rain!!!!! If I had not cleaned it out (took me a full day and 10!!! garbage bags to goodwill) it would have been a complete and total nightmare - as it was I was soaked to the skin and used every pot pan and bin I owned to catch some of the rain - but God knew and let me know very softly that if I knew what was good for me I better get my work area in order! Not too much was wet (that I care about anyway - the yarn was safe!) And it was a good lesson in not naming your child either Frank or Tim - they're both cursed!
